About us

We are part of The Choirs at Phoenix College and rehearse Monday evenings from 7:00-9:30 PM in the music building on the beautiful campus of Phoenix College.

We accept into our membership singers of all abilities and backgrounds. We are a welcoming community of singers who strive to bring the beauty of choral music to central Phoenix.

Our Mission

The Phoenix Community Choir enriches the greater Phoenix community through excellence in the choral arts performed by singers of all ages and abilities.

Our Director

Dr. Kenny Miller is the Coordinator of Voice Studies and Director of Choral Activities at Phoenix College. With the four choirs there, he has prepared and conducted Mozart's Vesperae solennes de confessore, Vaughan William's In Windsor Forest, Rutter's Requiem, Thompson's Frostiana, and many others including the Arizona premier of Gene Koshinski's Concerto for Marimba and Choir with Percussion. Dr. Miller is also the founder, Executive Director, and singer with the valley based early music ensemble HELIOS: a modern renaissance (heliosphx.org). He is a former singer and an assistant conductor of the Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Chorale, with whom he recorded the highly acclaimed album Northern Lights, released on the Chandos label in 2012 and the 2016 Grammy Award Winning Rachmaninoff All-Night Vigil.
